Investing in the World

We've Already Put In — Now We're Scaling Up

Canada Chess Foundation has invested thousands of hours and real dollars into free chess education — for children, seniors, and communities across Canada and beyond. We're not asking for charity. We're inviting you to join a movement that's already delivering results.

Why It Matters

Where Your Contribution Goes — and Why It Counts

Fighting Alzheimer's Through Chess

Clinical research confirms that regular chess play stimulates the prefrontal cortex and hippocampus — the regions most affected by Alzheimer's. Our free senior sessions are a direct, evidence-based intervention. Every donation funds another hour of cognitive exercise for a Canadian elder who cannot afford private coaching.

Free Demo Classes Cost Real Money

Each free demo session requires a Grandmaster's time, a licensed video platform, teaching materials, and administrative support. We charge nothing to the student — but the cost is real. Your donation directly covers these operating expenses so we never have to turn a curious child away.

Reaching Under-Served Communities

We run chess programs in community centres, libraries, and schools across Ontario — many in neighbourhoods where families cannot afford extracurricular activities. Donations let us bring world-class chess education to kids who would otherwise never encounter it.

Building the Next Generation of Canadian Champions

Several of our scholarship students have gone on to represent Canada in international youth tournaments. Talent is everywhere — opportunity is not. Your support creates the bridge between raw potential and competitive achievement.

Real Value. Real Impact.

Over $6,000 Invested in Free Chess Education

At a market rate of $20 per coaching session, Canada Chess Foundation has already delivered more than $6,000 worth of free chess education — and counting. Every session was funded by our founder, volunteer coaches, and supporters who believe chess is a force for good in the world. This is not a plea for help. This is a report on what we've already done — and an invitation to help us do more.

Lives Changed by Your Support

"My father has early-stage Alzheimer's. Since joining the CCF senior chess group he is sharper, more engaged, and actually looks forward to Tuesdays. This program is a lifeline."

Priya M.

Daughter of a CCF senior participant

"I had never touched a chess piece before the free demo. Now I'm preparing for my first provincial tournament. None of this would have happened without the Foundation."

Ethan K.

CCF student, age 14
